Last night the Chicago bulls limped to victory over the New Orleans Hornets. Derrick Rose had another phenomenal game posting 32 points. Noah had a great game showing promise from the center position with 16 rebounds. The bulls did not look great but showed moments of brilliance with ailing Rip Hamilton returning to the floor. It was nice to see that the Bulls could play well with Rip on the court, since his appearance has been sparing in the first half of the season
There is upside for the Bulls if they can play for all 48 minutes. Tonight will be a great showdown with the San Antonio Spurs. I'm looking forward to the battle at point guard and center to see if the Bulls stars have what it takes.
Also, the Chicago Cubs will continue their bunting tournament, which is creating quite the buzz at spring training. More on that tomorrow.

The Second Half Begins
Tonight is the start of the second half of the NBA season. I'm looking forward to the battle for the Eastern Conference between the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat. It will be interesting to see how Derrick Rose and the Bulls will rebound this postseason against the Heat in the Eastern Conference finals (I thinks its fair to say these are clearly the two most dominant teams and the east and will be playing in a rematch of last years conference finals). However, on the west coast, I'm looking forward to watching the Oklahoma City Thunder to continue to run the table. It will be quite the show to see Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, James Harden and the rest of the Thunder take on the west, especially the Spurs. We will get to see if the young and athletic Thunder can blow by the old and experienced Spurs.
